Beginner's guide to Morrowind modding Modding for With MGSO really starting to show its age, this guide was especially useful for anyone not constantly keeping themselves up to date on the happenings within the games modding community, which is still quite active to this day. Unfortunately I've noticed there are a few issues with the guide that never truly got ironed out which I've outlined below.

I know this is not necessarily related to TESO but I was wondering if I should play Morrowind. I've got Oblivion and Skyrim on PS3 with all the DLC (maybe not in Oblivion - 'PC master race' got 'em all , I think Xbox did as well ) and I adore both of them. Last month marked the launch of the fifth annual Morrowind May Modathon Modding Competition celebrating the 17th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and we are happy to say that the event has been a great success with a whopping ~230 new mods being uploaded by ~80 individual modders - veterans and newcomers alike!

That is, someone who wishes to install and use mods for Morrowind, but has no prior TES modding experience or is completely new to modding in general. Also Morrowind-like bumpmapping, actually, with either MCP and vanilla behavior available. Lots of legacy assets require it even if we have normalmapping, I found it weird that someone would say everyone will just continue to make assets for Morrowind’s [modded fake] bumpmapping and nobody will care about [real native] normalmapping.

Just finished installing all the mods i wanted for Morrowind (GOTY from GOG). Now i am encountering insane loading times. When i launch Morrowind via the Morrowind Mod Organiser the games takes literally 10 minutes to start. then it takes another few minutes to load my save, when i die i need to wait 3 or 4 minutes for my save to load. Perhaps add a section in the beginning describing the system requirements needed for this modded setup, not strictly necessary considering most modern systems will run a game that old, but a nice touch nonetheless.

Trying to keep the Morrwind atmosphere intact while adding some few new things. No anime stuff, no strange npcs that shouldnt be in the game etc. Do understand that this isnt a guide of how to use pro I know this is not necessarily related to TESO but I was wondering if I should play Morrowind. I've got Oblivion and Skyrim on PS3 with all the DLC (maybe not in Oblivion - 'PC master race' got 'em all , I think Xbox did as well ) and I adore both of them.

Perhaps add a section in the beginning describing the system requirements needed for this modded setup, not strictly necessary considering most modern systems will run a game that old, but a nice touch nonetheless.
